Tilt' n Mix 3 Pc. Bowl Set

Tilt’ N Mix 3 Piece Bowl Set

$29.99 @ Wilton

My my, I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed these yet!  I bought them back I guess around October…let me get to the point…THEY ARE AMAZING!!!  I got them at AC Moore and used a 40% off coupon so I got them for even less!  I use them from everything from mixing the ingredients of my dry mix for cakes or to whip up some brownies…I mean everything.

They don’t move is the best part.  They have “rubberized” bottoms that allow you to stir and stir without holding the bowl.  Also, they are slightly tilted and that helps also.  I honestly don’t know what I did without them.  I love the sizes.  I’ve used them all very often!  Don’t pass these up!

Stand Mixer Scraper

I also suggest purchasing the Stand Mixer Scraper from Wilton because it’s the silicone material and that way you don’t scrape up your bowls.  It works great for mixing and scraping in the bowl.  I also love to use it in my mixer because it’s a multi-tasker!

Pie Server

I plan for my next purchase to be the pie server.

Ha ha, I’m just kidding, but I will give you the address if you just want to send me some money for the “fun” of it!

So, this week has been one of the those that hit near some of my worst.  I was craving a brownie.  I have a recipe from scratch that only calls for 1 egg, but I was so tired and just wanted to use the mix so there would be less clean up and less items to get out.  Well the mix box called for 2 eggs along with 1/3 cup oil, and 1/4 cup of water I do believe.  I only had 1 egg.  I decided it was worth the try…yes, I wanted it that bad!  Well, they were EXTRA chewy, but I am positive they taste better!  I’m serious!  So, some tips for 1 egg brownies…..

  • cut them as soon as you can while they are still hot, otherwise they will be very hard to cut
  • you may like the chewy, but if you don’t, microwave them for just a few seconds individually on a napkin and they taste absolutely wonderful!!
  • Leave me any questions you may have about this or other questions….I’m going to get a 1 egg brownie!

Happy Baking!

P.S.~ That Thanksiving meal is less than a week away!!!!!!!

My newest find comes from the makers of Simply Orange, Orange Juice.  I have to say I am NOT a big fan AT ALL of orange juice.  I’m quite ashamed of it too, considering all the health benefits of orange juice…but I love a good orange!  AND, I WILL drink the Simply Orange kind, simply because I think it tastes better.  But during a recent trip to the grocery store I picked up Simply Apple Apple Juice and it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!  SO good!  I mean I could drink it non-stop…well maybe!  But it’s good!  So I wanted to give you a review of it and HIGHLY recommend it.  I give it 5 stars!  So go out and try it and let me know what you think!  I also am a big fan of their Simply Lemon, Lemonade.  It’s great too!  I am not sure what else they offer but I’m pretty sure they have Limeade, Grapefruit maybe too?  But give it a try and let me know if you agree and give it 5 stars!!

Here’s my review on my own camping trip this vacation!  It was great!  When I was little we used to go camping all the time and I just loved it!  This time, even though I was a ‘bit’ older was no different!  Sadly, it was VERY humid, and VERY hot and wherever we went, it felt like you were wet.  It was a weird feeling…I had never really experience humidity that bad.  Especially at night.  And it rained…and it stormed.  But it was always at night or about dinner time, so while we were sightseeing it was clear and sunny so that’s good!  And we discovered that the new pop up my brother got is VERY VERY VERY waterproof!  We left Monday and we went to the Natural Bridge Area.  We went to the Natural Bridge Zoo, the Natural Bridge Toy Museum.  I highly recommend the zoo.  It was a lot of fun, very clean, and very friendly.  It has been awhile since we all had been to a zoo and we decided to go.  Very glad we did!  My favorites were the tigers!  They are just larger versions of my Oliver!  I was not overly impressed with the Toy Museum.  Maybe it was just me, but it wasn’t all that great, and definitely not worth the price, like the zoo.  Tuesday, we traveled about an hour and a half or so from our campsite (stops for food, gas, etc included) to Orange County to Montpelier.  This is James Madison’s home.  I was not overly thrilled in going. I had been when I was younger and it was still the way the DuPont’s had it…a big pink house.  The tours were self guided and it was just boring to me.  I was younger then though.  But this trip was just amazing!  I felt like I was standing in history itslef!  I highly recommended it!  We had an awesome, VERY informative tour guide.  I think her name was Jayne…THANK YOU!  It is being restored to James Madison’s original way and it was very neat!!  It’s well worth the money and time!  Then Wednesday, we were all tired…it was still wet, and we just decided to come on home.  We had planned to stay longer but just didn’t.  We came towards home.  We hikes some along the James River.  It was a good time!  We got home and was greeted with a ‘happy to see us’ Oliver and for the rest of the week we just sort of relaxed and did local things.  That was really nice.  We all just needed to relax I think!

I hope you found this informative.  If you have more questions about the places, I’ll be happy to try and answer!

If you are looking for a yummy cool and great tasting dessert that ALSO tastes good–I’ve found it!  I personally was not one to like yogurt that much but I’ve found some that tastes great and is also great for you!  It’s Breyer’s yogurt.  My favorites are strawberry cheesecake, peaches and cream & the blueberries and cream.  Mmmm!  They are all so yummy!  Try them out for yourself because I believe you’ll like them!  Try one out even if you don’t like yogurt!

If you are looking for a very yummy quick snack these are great!  They are good for you too and have just enough of that sweet stuff to satisfy that sweet tooth!  Try them today and I think you will agree.  All the wheat thins that I have tried have been good.  The original are also good if you just want a little saltyness!  Try them today because I give them 5 stars!!th_5-star.jpg  🙂

Oh how I have become addicted to these little squares. They are so GOOD.  They are completely different when you microwave them for 10 seconds.  They taste like they just came out of the oven!  SO GOOD!  I have only tried the Apples & Cinnamon flavor but I’m sure the others are good.  A family member brought them to us when my grandma died for breakfast for us.  I eat them as a very good and quick snack.  They are good for you too and they fill you up!  TRY ONE TODAY!
